There’s a lot going on under the roof! Textile sun protection as a “deflector” against heat accumulation
The new building for the International School in Seeheim has a forum with a round shape in which school performances and other events are held. The architects chose an “air cushion”-type construction as a roof, which covers the entire room as if it were “floating”.
The interior sun protection that was absolutely essential for temperature and glare protection reasons had to be hung freely over the approx. 18.0 m wide diameter and on the other hand be motor-driven. The Puncto Filigrano systems are absolutely perfect for this and were suspended completely without supports from a freely hung stainless steel cable structure
